Context
Cappsule uses AI-driven sensor fusion to passively detect health signs, sleep patterns, falls and behavioural trends in care settings. They needed two devices, a hub (Cappsule HQ) and a smart tag for mobility aids and medication, that felt like calm, residential objects rather than medical equipment.
- Reads as residential, not clinical, fits a bedroom or living room
- Sensor placement constrained by detection FOV and acoustics
- Battery-powered tag with multi-year coin-cell life
- Ready for FCC/CE pre-compliance testing at first tooling
How we built it.
- 01Discover
Workshops with the clinical advisory team to define what 'invisible monitoring' should look and feel like in a home.
- 02Concept
A soft-radius hub with a fabric-wrapped face, paired with a coin-sized tag that disappears on equipment.
- 03CAD & DFM
Full mechanical package across both products, with acoustic and antenna keep-outs locked with the EE team.
- 04Prototype
Functional appearance models used in pilot deployments and the Series A raise.
